Review WordPress.com 2024

Plans and Prices: WordPress.com offers several plans, including a free option. The Personal plan starts at $4 per month and includes a custom domain name, 6GB storage, and removes WordPress ads12. The Premium Plan costs $8 per month and provides 13GB storage, removes customization limits, and allows some monetization1. The Business plan costs $25 per month and offers unlimited storage space, SEO tools, plugin support, and removes all WordPress branding. It’s worth noting that costs can add up after buying hosting, premium themes, and plugins.

Ease of Use: WordPress.com is user-friendly and doesn’t require any downloading, safe third-party hosting, or similar activities. It handles most website building needs, including commerce, social integrations, drag-and-drop functionality, and mobile presentation1. However, it has a steep learning curve and might not be ideal for everyone.

Performance: WordPress.com had no issues with the Load Storm test and even picked up the second fastest Asset speed. The Static test went even better with the second fastest average response at 5.8ms and tied for first with 13ms in p955. It’s a good, low-cost option for people who want to get online relatively quickly.

Security: WordPress.com provides a pre-installed SSL certificate. It also offers enhanced security. However, potential plugin conflicts can cause sites to break easily.

Customer Support: WordPress.com’s customer support varies based on the plan. The free plan offers only community support, while paid accounts get email and live chat support 24 hours a day, Monday to Friday. However, reviews on customer support are mixed.

Wordpress is an absolute Joke. Have cost my business greatly, I've lost all my email data for my business. After paying for a year, I had so many issues with functionality, site crashing whilst trying to build it, that I transferred my domain to Squarespace. Having paid for the year, I was out of pocket but happy. However, now my email account which was also paid through Wordpress couldn't renew. I have tried continually contacting the for the last 24hours to recover the lost email. After conflicting advice on how to resolve, who was responsible Titan or Wordpress. The fact that their 'happiness engineers' email with solutions and ask you to email back to confirm that's the option you'd like to take. Then no response. Moral of this story STAY AWAY FROM WORDPRESS AND THEIR NON-EXISTENT CUSTOMER SUPPORT!!!!!

At least 15 years ago I created a site on the free Wordpress.com. A few months ago when I tried to log in I found I was locked out "for security reasons" and told to change my password. Problem is, the password reset goes to an email address I no longer have after all these years. That's when I found there are no contacts and no support whatsoever for those with free sites, you are directed to their forum, whose members were unable to help me. My site is live but I'm now unable to do any editing at all, I can't even delete it and move to another host.UPDATE: Since Wordpress replied giving an email address I have been in contact with their "Happiness Team" (there's a misnomer!). As the address I used is "owned" by 1 of my 3 sites I was able to reset the password and log in to it. But I was told that they reset the passwords for the other two sites, and because I can not provide them with any unpublished draft posts or unpublished media for the sites, Wordpress are unable to grant me access to them.So my review remains 1 star.

I opened a ticket through the Jetpack app, but they refused to talk to me about the problem that existed with the Jetpack and and would only tell me to talk to my host, who has nothing to do with the Jetpack app. They then ignored me even though I presented them with all the evidence that showes it was a problem with Jetpack.Because that team ignored me, I went to WordPress.org, even though it's a WordPress.com and Jetpack issue. They were the only team that decided to try to help.My forum post on both WordPress.com and Jetpack never got a single reply. No one at Jetpack or WordPress.com would help with the problem that existed within Jetpack and WordPress.comAll their support teams were utterly useless. The most useless support I've ever had, and that's saying something. They didn't do a single thing to help resolve the problem, all they did was ghost me

I made a huge mistake signing up for them. They scam beginners confusing them that they are actually the "wordpress" the open-source software before you discover that they are a highly priced company with poor service. Your website will be their property not yours. Every thing you want to make, they will get you pay for them first. Hosting price increases every year and their subscribtion plan is the worst. If you want to create a website and willing to give it a little effort, I suggest the ORIGINAL free "wordpress.org", so that you own your website and not hijacked by them.

I signed up for Wordpress.com and purchased my domain through them before realizing that to do ANYTHING on the site, you need to purchase one of the high-priced subscriptions and then there are extra costs for any plugins. Went to move my domain to BlueHost and they will not give me MY DOMAIN NAME THAT I PAID FOR! Filing with BBB next. This site is a total SCAM

I have have been victim of a blackmail by the support team of wordpress exactly by who is managing the review on forum-password-resets that removed a pretty legitimate review on a theme that I have purchased and blackmailed me to ban my account if I don't remove the review from there. I hope that some manager or chief will contact me to check if this guy hasn't been corrupted by the founder of the theme. This is really bad. edit for the answer given: I have sent an email to write all about the blackmail I have received but you haven't replyed for the 4th time. So I cannot write a legitimate review on Kadence on wordpress because you have been clearly corrupted by them. [edit] If you need videoshot to check if my review on Kadence was real I'm open to send it. I did the same with Trustpilot, indeed they know my review is real and it's on line on the kadence page. I think I have the right to write about my misadaventure and injustice. Your assistance blakmailed me that in order to reactivate my account I shouldn't write negative review on kadence, this after deleted mine. It's really bad what happened to me. Absolutely bad. [edit2] how could I follow up with the emails if I already wrote 5 times without receiving an answer and my account is still blocked because they blackmailed me? Are you kidding me? [edit3] It really looks like a jocke. There is no ticket number when I write an email to help @ wordpress.com I don't receive any answer and any ticket number. I wrote 5 times. I fed up[edit4] This must be a joke a clarly show how your assistance works. I've never received any email from you and I always check the spam folder! ALWAYS. This is umbelievable. The reality is that the team of forum-password-resets blocked my account because I wrote e pretty legitimate negative review on Kadence. People should know that. Fortunately there is trustpilot and others.

WordPress support is very disappointing... They're slow to respond and seem to send "canned" replies. If you are not an especially technical person - GOOD LUCK... I don't think they're worth the elevated price you pay for support. What support??

Scammer scrapes my website, makes a fake website on wordpress with the intention to commit fraud. What do wordpress have to say about it? "No our problem it's not a wordpress.com website"So there you go, fraudsters, scammers and nonces go make your websites on wordpress, they'll protect you.Edit. See, they know a scammer is paying for their products but won't step in to help.

You know, in the beginning I was overwhelmed. I sought help. Then my email started getting blown up with alerts drawing me to my account. Cool. I thought, I am lost where to start, these links are great! :D .... until 3 months after the fact of being charged $300 for a site I didnt create. The links take you to their site prompting you to "get started" and if you are busy, you might think you didnt finish. Hence the alert. NO, not the case. this entity sends fake alerts regarding your website. If you continue "get started" link, you'll create a new site. DONT click the link, you are making ANOTHER site and will be charged in 14 days unknowingly. DONT reach out to this team as the GUY in charge will fluff you with "our policy" BS while smiling as he’s typing, for those few hundred dollars you just gave him. he'll tell you, oh sorry you unintentionally created a site with a kindergarten title. Wait, you want us to return your money for a site you didnt create? HAHAHA NOT gonna happen. We take pride in taking YOUR money. As my activity clearly showed I had none, on this kindergarten named site. I already had a site, why would i create 4 more!?!? I was still unable to get my money back. Very very disappointed. Crooks! Make sure your auto-renewal is off or you'll be charged!

It does have all the features I need, hence 2 stars not one, but.. it is clunky as hell to use and very unstable. Every month or so a bunch of errors and warnings appear on my site, despite the fact I have not edited the site in that time.
